The Left Over Paint Project - Term 1
The Left Over Paint Project has been going on since the first week of Term 1. At the end of each Art class, if students had any leftover paint on their pallets (that wasn't worth saving/ or needed for other classes throughout the day) they were given the opportunity to paint it on this collaborative canvas. As grades came in for their Art lesson each week, they were all keen to see the development of the Left Over Paint Project. There were lots of great discussions occurring during the evolution of this project; in particular about the art elements of colour and texture. Students said it was very interesting (and fun!) seeing the project develop over the term. If you see any shimmery gold and silver paint on the canvas - that would be from the Grade 6 artists' Stuffing Monsters project. If you see lots of warm colours on the canvas (reds, yellows, oranges) this would be from the Grade 1/2 artists' Sunset Silhouette artworks. If you see lots of green tones, then that wou...
