Art with Jacinta

How cool are the Preps mixed media self portraits?! They used acrylic paint to paint the skin, paper collage for the hair, and material for the shirts. 

The Prep artists enjoyed looking at Georgia O'Keefe's beautiful flower artworks. The students designed their own large flower and painted them with watercolour paints. 

This term the Year 1 and 2 students have been exploring portraits, with a focus on cartooning and charactertura. The students have enjoyed learning about the artist, James Rizzi and his bright pop art artworks. They learned how to draw similar facial features like the people in Rizzi's artworks.
