Jackson Pollock Action Painting & Art Room Pillows!
Woohooo! The time has come for me to do my bi-annual 'Performance Art' Unit with the Year 1 and 2 classes. I did this unit two years ago (with students who are now in Year 3 and 4) and it was an absolute hit with the students, it was SO much fun! I can't wait to see the excitement on the 1 and 2 students' faces this semester when we toss food on carpet - YES you read that correctly (Pro Hart inspired!) and drive monster trucks through paint (Jackson Pollock inspired!) It is going to be an amazing, exciting, wonderful (and maybe a little bit messy) Semester One in the Art Room for students in Years 1 and 2!!! I just love this photo!
