Fictitious Fish Creations

The Grade 1 and 2 students have been using their wild imaginations and creative art skills to come up with some crazy designs for their own Fictious Fish! The artisits were given the challenege to create their own Fictitious Fish, using a recycled plastic bottle.

Firstly we explored what the definition of Fictitious... 'not real or true, invented, imaginary.' Then we looked at different kinds of fish for inspiration. We sketched the features that we liked about each fish.

The students have been exploring what everyday household items we can recycle and reuse to create new art. We have also been talking about the importance of a design brief and plan. So far the artists have been demonstraing some fantastic communication and collaboration skills when selecting and sourcing the materials. Stay tuned for more exciting updates on our Fictitious Fish creations!
