The Prep students are the sandwich artists behind these Ultimate Texture Burgers! Each class worked together to brainstorm real ingredients that could go on sandwiches or burgers. While the students dug through a variety of paper and materials, were reminded to think about the art element of texture. Texture is how something feels if touched. The Preps used words to describe the textures on their burgers, words such as soft, smooth, rough, spike, fluffy.... The students worked hard to create these collages by cutting pasting, twisting, crunching, pinching and ripping paper and materials. Everything on the sandwich burger had to represent a real food item (like cheese, meat, lettuce...) so that that meant no dirty socks or worms! How cool are our Ultimate Texture Burgers?! They look good enough to eat! Can you guess what items might symbolise or represent real food items?
